Mental: Reportedly stimulates the brain aiding in memory and concentration. Good for general fatigue, depression and exhaustion. Said to release mental blocks and trauma.
Physical: Thyme is renowned for its disinfecting properties. It is useful with intestinal infection, upset stomach, purifying and clearing mucus and parasites. It has been used for poor circulation and to raise low blood pressure. Similarly, arthritis, sciatica, rheumatism, muscular aches, pains, sprains, swelling, inflammation, sports injuries, and to restore mobility.
Adding the property of expectorant, it finds use with asthma, spasm, bronchitis, pneumonia, colds, coughs, sore throat, whooping cough, aiding flu, bronchitis, and purifying and clearing the lungs and sinuses.
Skin: Thyme oil is an irritant, and is therefore dangerous unless highly diluted. Never-the-less, properly diluted, it has found use with insect bites, lice, scalp tonic, dandruff, and acne.
